An Important Announcement Regarding Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Systems
To better serve our clients we are pleased to announce that Spartan will now use only 3M brand Pressure Sensitive Tapes. To further simplify the type tape required for your application please refer to below product descriptions.
PSA1 3M
This product replaces the former “PSA1” Effective May 9, 2007
- For applications with temperatures equal to or less than 140 ° Farenheit/60 ° Celsius or less
- Easy platen release
- Can be replied in some applications
- Moisture resistance
- Replaces former “PSA1”
- Natural (tan) color release paper. Moisture resistant liner which can withstand high humidity conditions with minimal cockling and wrinkling
- Low stress/shear applications such as Art Glass, Crystal, Precision Glass, Optics, Fiber Optics
PSA2 3M
Same product, new name.
- For applications with temperatures continuous below 250 degrees Farenheit/121 degrees Celsius
- Strong bond to platen with little to now remaining residue at removal
- Moisture resistance
- Some solvent resistance
- High Shear holding power
- Wide range pH use
- Natural (tan) color release paper. Moisture resistant liner which can withstand high humidity conditions with minimal cockling and wrinkling
- Higher stress/shear applications such as; Crystal, Precision Glass, Optics, Fiber Optics, L.E.D.
